  • WHY THIS NEW BLOG? / PER QUÈ AQUEST NOU BLOC?

    1. Because we want to increase the project "Chess beginners" in our school Sant Bernat Calvó  from Vila-seca.
    2. To improve our English level with specific chess vocabulary.
    3. To show you what we do in our school.
    4. To participate in the "Chess friends" project with other European schools.
    5. To play and learn more about chess.


    1. Per què volem augmentar el projecte "d'iniciació als escacs" de l'escola Sant Bernat Calvó de Vila-seca.
    2. Per millorar el nostre nivell d'anglès amb el vocabulari específic dels escacs.
    3. Per mostrar-vos el què fem a l'escola.
    4. Per participar en el projecte "Chess friends" amb altres escoles europees.
    5. Per jugar i aprendre coses sobre els escacs.

    • We have partnered with other schools in Europe to share the material we use when working chess in the classroom. At the same time, we try to play chess online with colleagues.
             Ens hem associat amb altres escoles d'Europa per compartir el material que                          utilitzem a l'hora de treballar  amb els escacs a l'aula. Al mateix temps, intentarem fer            alguna partida online amb els companys.

    • A CHESS GAME AGAINST GREECE'S SCHOOL / UNA PARTIDA CONTRA UNA ESCOLA GREGA
             After several attempts,  finally we could play a game of chess against students from a school in Oreokastro (Greece).
            Després de diversos intents, finalment vam poder jugar una partida d'escacs contra els alumnes d'una escola a Oreokastro (Grècia).

    After that game, we played against Filyro school and finally we could play a good chess game and win/ Despres d'aquella partida, vam jugar contra l'escola de Filyro i finalment vam fer una bona partida i vam guanyar.

             Here you can see how we are improving our chess level. / Aquí podeu veure com estem millorant el nostre nivell d'escacs.
    • DRAWING THEMSELF / DIBUIXANT-SE ELLS MATEIXOS
            In order to show to other schools who we are, we had made a picture of ourself and a little presentation with likes and dislikes.
            Amb la finalitat de mostrar qui som, vam fer uns dibuixos de nosaltres mateixos i una petita presentació amb el que ens agrada i el que no.

    • SHOWING OUR PROJECT / MOSTRANT EL NOSTRE PROJECTE

             Last January we went to Girona to show the project that we work in our school. That meeting took place at the University of Girona with other teachers who also teach chess in their own schools. 
            El passat mes de gener vam anar a Girona a mostrar el projecte que treballem al nostre centre. La trobada va ser a la Universitat de Girona junt amb altres professors que treballen els escacs a les seves escoles.





    • CHESS AT SCHOOL / ESCACS A L'ESCOLA
    From this new blog we want to show the project started in St. Bernat Calvó related to chess.
    This project aims to contribute to the integral education of students (currently 6 to 8 years) using the game of chess as a center of interest that encourages the development of multiple intelligences (improve intellectual ability, emotional intelligence, promote positive values, cultural diversity, ...). So, we try to teach chess to our pupils.

    It aims is contribute to the introduction and dissemination of chess in our center as a teaching tool. At the same time, to improve school performance, we try to increase the capacity of attention and concentration, improve logical reasoning, acquiring the habit of being quiet, face problems and taking decisions, accept the consequences of an act ...

    Des d'aquest nou bloc volem mostrar el projecte iniciat al Sant Bernat Calvó relacionat amb els escacs. Aquest projecte pretén contribuir a l’educació integral dels alumnes (de moment 6 a 8 anys) tot utilitzant el joc dels escacs com a centre  d’interès perquè fomenta el desenvolupament de les intel·ligències múltiples (potenciar la capacitat intel·lectual, la intel·ligència emocional, fomentar els valors positius, la diversitat cultural,...).  Així doncs, intentem ensenyar  escacs al nostres alumnes.

    Es pretén contribuir a la introducció i difusió dels escacs en el nostre centre com a eina pedagògica. Al mateix temps, per tal de millorar el rendiment escolar, es busca  l’augment de la capacitat d’atenció i de concentració, la millora del raonament lògic, l’adquisició de l’hàbit d’estar tranquil, afrontar un problema i la presa de desicions, aceptar les conseqüències d'un acte , ...
